Description
The Environmental Technology Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and business development initiatives to expand HSM’s market share and drive sustainable growth throughout the United States and Canada. Environmental Technology (ET) products primarily include vertical and horizontal baling presses, as well as industrial packaging and shredding equipment.
This role requires building strong direct relationships with major accounts while managing and expanding partnerships with manufacturer representatives and dealers. A key objective is to establish and develop a U.S.-based dealer base structure while simultaneously identifying new growth opportunities and expanding the customer base through both direct sales and distribution channels.
Requirements
1. Essential duties and responsibilities:
Execute direct sales and business development strategies for HSM’s Environmental Technology products and service offerings within the United States.
Conduct comprehensive market analyses in existing and targeted markets, including demand patterns, competitive landscape, sales forecasting, and emerging technological trends.
Identify and develop new sales opportunities across priority markets; create and implement market entry and penetration strategies to achieve business objectives.
Identify key market stakeholders, including prospective customers and strategic partners (e.g., commercial and industrial businesses, government agencies, distributors, dealers, and recyclers). Develop, implement, and manage strategic alliances at multiple organizational levels.
Manage and grow existing accounts while actively expanding the overall customer base.
Develop and strengthen the distributor and dealer network. Plan and execute regional sales initiatives, including trade shows, seminars, and product demonstrations in collaboration with channel partners.
Promote HSM’s products and services to prospective customers and develop customized solutions tailored to client needs.
Assist contract negotiations in alignment with company policies and strategic objectives.
Support the development and execution of product positioning strategies to enhance brand awareness and market presence.
Provide regular reporting to sales leadership, including pipeline development, forecasting, key account updates, market intelligence, and activity reports.
Deliver exceptional customer support by managing inquiries, product consultations, complaints, and related matters in a professional and timely manner.
